My name is Lawrence “Larry” Gunda, affectionately known as Worshiper Larry. I was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, and my life has been marked by a passion for music and faith from an early age.
I started singing in my local church as a child, and over the years that humble beginning blossomed into a calling to lead others in worship. What began with a young man strumming a guitar during youth services grew into a ministry spanning nations.
By God’s grace, I went from those early days in the choir to writing my own songs and ministering on bigger stages, all while keeping the heart of a worshiper at the forefront.
My mission is to lead generations into authentic encounters with Yahweh through Spirit-filled worship.
Today, I serve as a worship leader and music director, pouring my heart into every song and every service.
I am blessed to be mentored by Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, serving under his leadership at United Family International Church in Zimbabwe. Under this covering, I have learned the power of true, Spirit-led worship.
My mission is simple: to usher people into the presence of God through music. Whether I’m leading a congregation in praise or recording in the studio, my focus is on Jesus Christ and making His name known.
Each lyric I write and each note I sing is a prayer – that broken hearts would be healed, hope would be restored, and lives would be drawn closer to God.
I believe that when we worship in truth, God moves mightily among His people.
Through this journey, God has opened amazing doors and I’m humbled by the blessings that have come.
I have released several albums and singles that were born out of prayer and experience:
Yahweh We Praise Vol. 1 (2020) introduced my music to the world, followed by The Wave (2021) which celebrated a fresh move of the Holy Spirit.
In 2024, I released two major projects — Deeper and The Encounter Yahweh We Praise Vol. 2 — taking listeners to new heights of worship.
Alongside these albums, God enabled me to share eight singles and EPs over the years, each carrying a unique message of praise.
One of my greatest honors was being named a Global Worship Music Award Winner, an international recognition of the impact of this ministry.
(I dedicated that award back to God, who truly deserves all the glory.)
I am continuously in awe of how far He has brought me: from a local church singer to a global worshiper.
Yet above all accolades, the true reward for me is seeing lives touched and souls worshiping God. Thank you for being part of this journey – all I am and all I do is for the glory of Yahweh.
My greatest joy is seeing lives transformed as we exalt Jesus together. Every chord, every lyric—it’s all for His glory.
